NSgraphy is the London photography practice of Nicola Sclano, a fashion and commercial photographer working across ecommerce, editorial, portrait, and campaign photography.
Italian-born and London-based since 2013, Nicola works from Studio Monox in East London, serving fashion brands, ecommerce businesses, musicians, and creative professionals with lookbook shoots, product photography, press portraits, and commercial campaigns.
I'm a co-founder of Studio Monox in Royal Victoria, East London, and shoot on location across London and the UK. The studio offers natural light, blackout capability, and space for small to mid-size productions — ideal for fashion campaigns, lookbooks, and ecommerce shoots.
My core work is fashion and commercial photography, which includes:
Fashion campaigns and lookbooks for clothing labels and emerging designers
Ecommerce photography for online stores and product launches
Editorial shoots for magazines and creative publications
Press portraits for musicians, designers, and creative professionals
Food photography for restaurants and hospitality brands
Most clients come to me for fashion and ecommerce work, but I also shoot food, portraits, and creative campaigns.
I blend crisp digital workflows with occasional 35mm film for personal documentary projects — the digital gives you clean, deliverable files for ecommerce and web, while film adds warmth and grain for editorial and campaign imagery.
Composition-wise, I lean into bold colour and graphic framing. I'm not interested in overly polished, sterile imagery — the work should feel confident and direct.
Both. Studio Monox in East London is my base for controlled shoots (product photography, lookbooks, portraits), but I regularly shoot on location across London — street scenes, interiors, outdoor editorials. For UK-wide projects, I travel to client locations.
For ecommerce and lookbook shoots, we usually work through 70-100+ images per session, tailored to budget and brief. Editorial and campaign work is more exploratory — fewer setups, more attention to mood and storytelling.
I work collaboratively with stylists, creative directors, and clients to shape the direction. If you're an emerging brand without a full team, I can offer guidance on styling, casting, and creative direction.
Every brief prioritises low-waste production (reusable set materials, minimal single-use props) and inclusive casting. I work with diverse models and prioritise ethical production practices across all commercial and editorial work.
This isn't a marketing angle — it's just how the work gets made.
Client-wise, it's a mix:
Fashion brands (emerging designers, established labels, clothing lines)
Ecommerce businesses (product photography for online stores)
Musicians (press portraits, campaign imagery, album artwork)
Restaurants and food brands (menu photography, interiors, campaigns)
Creative professionals (portfolio shoots, personal branding, headshots)
Most are London-based, but I work with UK-wide and international clients regularly.
Reach out via email with details about your project — what you're shooting, timeline, rough budget, and any visual references. I'll send over availability, a quote, and we'll discuss creative direction from there.
For regular clients (seasonal lookbooks, ongoing ecommerce), I offer retainer packages and priority booking.
I primarily shoot, but I work with a network of stylists, makeup artists, set designers, and creative directors depending on the project. For smaller productions, I can handle creative direction and styling guidance directly.
If you need full production support (location scouting, casting, permits, post-production), I can coordinate that or connect you with trusted collaborators.
Standard turnaround is 1-2 weeks for edits, longer for projects involving film scans and hand-editing. For rush projects or tight deadlines, expedited delivery is available.
